Kirby's Dream Theater Web Page

In stores now

Welcome to my updated version of this page. This is where North/South Americans can find the latest information on the Dream Theater International Fan Club as well as some of my personal faves about this great band.

Kirby loves her prog

Below are some pictures I took on Dec. 30 of Kirby with her favorite music. I couldn't pick just one, so I decided to use a few.

US/North America/South America DTIFC info

In October, I was asked to coordinate the US/North/South American side of the Dream Theater International Fan Club. Since then, my free time has been reduced into negative territory. (Which is why this page hasn't seen an update since September!) Watch here for the latest information on the DTIFC. Join Today!

UPDATED 12/30/99 - Fanzines are printed, but CDs won't be delivered to Holland until the middle of January due to a processing delay. US fans should expect their CDs and Winter 1999 fanzine toward the end of January. Also, the deadline for new members to sign up in time to receive the 1999 DTIFC Christmas CD has passed. Sorry!

Houston Jammers

If you live in or around Houston, Texas, visit the Houston Jammers Web Site. We try to get together once a month, and we even have our own mailing list and Yahoo! club. On January 8, 2000 we're planning on grabbing some Mexican food before watching a local band Beryl Grady. Come join us!

Ytsejam Mailing List

If you are a Dream Theater fan and have ever asked yourself, "How can I meet other Dream Theater fans around the world?" then you need to join the Ytsejam Mailing List! The 'jam is for discussion of DT's latest doings, tour info. and discussion, other bands like Savatage, TSO, (fates warning -- ugh!) and the like. We were also responsible for getting the band into the studio to record A Change of Seasons.

Now you must be asking yourself, "How to I join this wonderful mailing list?"

To SUBSCRIBE, send an e-mail

To UNSUBSCRIBE, send an e-mail

DO NOT put a .sig file or anything else in the body of the message except what is required.

One more thing about the mailing list. Before you post anything, read the FAQ on the band, which can be found on the Official Dream Theater Web site. Just click on Frequently Asked Questions.

Internet Relay Chat

"So where else do the Ytsejammers hang out?" On IRC, of course! Internet Relay Chat is a way for people to communicate in real time with people from around the world. The official Ytsejam server is irc.dreamt.org, and the official channel is #ytsejam. I can usually be found under the nickname Kirby.

I can also be found on irc.ram-page.com on the channel #mikechat. I'm usually YtseKirby or KirbyWORK if I'm working. This chat room can also be accessed from the Official Mike Portnoy Web Site.

Ytsejam Radio

What about listening to my and other jammers' favorite music? Well, some Dream Theater fans started YtseRadio. My show is on Monday nights from 10 p.m. to midnight Eastern Time. That's 3 a.m. - 5 a.m. GMT.

Dream Theater Live

UPDATED 12/30/99 - I finally decided to put up some pics of me and DT from May 1998. I know, it's been a while since then, but things have been busy here. :-)

I went to The Fenix in Seattle, Washington to see Dream Theater play a concert on November 15, 1997 since they were not coming near my home of Houston, TX. I have included a complete setlist, a review of the show, and tons of pictures.

Want to see some rather interesting pictures of drummer Mike Portnoy's wedding? Check out the Dream Theater Photo Gallery and click on Miscellaneous.

Steve Vai Live

Ok, so it's not DT, but it's close enough. I took some pictures of Steve Vai, Mike Keneally, Mike Mangini, and Philip Bynoe during the week of December 7 - December 10, 1999.
